CTRx® by Myonex: Real-World Solutions for Smarter Drug Access in Clinical Trials

Sponsors face increasing pressure to accelerate enrollment, reduce site burden, and meet growing patient expectations, all while staying compliant and cost-efficient. Traditional drug sourcing and delivery models often fall short of these demands.

That’s why we created CTRx®, a smarter way to manage clinical trial drug supply.

CTRx is a combination of prescription card services, global pharmacy dispensing, and centralized local drug supply – brought together in a single, flexible solution.

Myonex’s CTRx helps sponsors:

  • Eliminate sourcing delays
  • Reduce waste and budget uncertainty
  • Simplify site operations
  • Enhance patient-centricity in trial delivery
  • Boost patient enrollment

Direct-To-Patient (DtP) with CTRx: Stories from the Field

In this video series, experts share real-world use cases and sponsor success stories that show how CTRx transforms the drug supply experience with DtP logistics – for patients, for sites, and for clinical teams.

Providing medication directly to patients: a better trial experience

In this video, Samit Bhatt, Vice President, Pharmacy Services at Myonex, introduces how CTRx enables both global sourcing and centralized local sourcing via prescription cards.

In the US, using CTRx’s pharmacy card, patients can fill prescriptions for sponsor-funded medication access at their local pharmacy. At the same time, standard-of-care or even investigational commercial drugs can be shipped directly to patients’ homes by a central pharmacy.

The result? Better patient experience and greater flexibility for sponsors.

CTRx in a 2,000-patient oncology trial: “The patients love it.”

Industry expert Todd Luckritz shares insights from a Phase IV prostate cancer trial using CTRx. With 2,000 patients across 200 sites, the sponsor chose a direct-to-patient model, with a central pharmacy shipment straight to patients’ homes.

Feedback from both patients and sites has been overwhelmingly positive. Patients no longer need to travel for drug pick-up, and sites are freed from managing dispensing and accountability tasks. CTRx handles it all: inventory, records, and destruction, reducing site burden.

Maintaining Patient Enrollment by Saving Patient Costs and Eliminating the Need to Travel to Site

In this clinical study, the sponsor was committed to removing access barriers for patients who required insulin. Rather than asking patients to rely on insurance or make extra site visits, they wanted a simpler, patient-friendly solution.

Centrally sourcing insulin wasn’t realistic as every patient’s dosage needs are different. So, the sponsor turned to the CTRx prescription card service in the US.

With CTRx, patients were able to get their insulin directly from their trusted local pharmacy, free of charge, without having to travel or use personal insurance.

Easier access and better patient experience led to faster-than-expected enrollment.
